Our Colorado Red Sandstone can be used structurally and aesthetically for walls, pathways, roads, ponds, and other features where both strength and a natural look and feel are required.
Our latest ASTM C 170 tests show that the Compressive Strength for Lyons Sandstone average psi perpendicular to the rift is 32,402 psi. (For comparison, ASTM minimum standards are as follows: Marble 7500 psi, Limestone 1800-8000 psi, Granite 19000 psi, Quartzitic Sandstone 4000 psi.)
